Remember When...

Me and Gus had science together and everyday we always did something to make Mrs Krimmel laugh or yell at us. He always tried talking to me in sign language but I never understood so I just threw random hand signs back at him. I will forever miss the little memories with him. 💚

I remeher he was very shy but we hung out at the fair. and i was taking pictures of him and i remember laughing abt calling him gus gus and gustis.

One of my favorite things to do with Gus is to play in the backyard. No matter what the temperature was outside we always took off our shirts.

So, having the privilege to work on the family's new home as a trim carpenter, I new Guss only as he passed by to look at the progress each morning. He rairley said any thing, mainly just a smile, maybe a wave.

One morning as he was passing by and I was making a cut with my miter box saw, the saw kicked back a bit with a bang.

Guss stopped, and with a slight smile said "Still got ten fingers"

From that point forward, when I saw him coming, I would hold up my hands and wiggle my fingers.

He never said any thing, just his slight smile and a thumbs up.👍

The fair I remember riding all the rides with him and laughing because we could flip the egg ride upside down.

Me and Gus used to walk to 6th and 7th period together and he was the best thing about both hours.

When we were in first grade, I used to like him because he was really funny and cute.

He was always smiling and was always friendly and included eveyone he was awesome

We were in gym last year and I dropped the soccer ball out of the gate and he went and got it for me

I never knew him personally. But everytime I saw him he was so outgoing and always put a smile on your face. He will always be loved. My best prayers and love you guys.

I had summer school with Gus. He was quiet and really nice to me. We worked on a project together in Language Arts. He was funny.

I started homeschool after that but always thought of him as my friend.

There was a time we were driving golfcarts and his golfcart died and we had to tow it in the snow and It was the best thing that has ever happened

I never thought I would have to say good by to a friend this young but ...,I had some of the best memories.. with you when we would say we would wake up in the morning about 6 am and we did not wake up until like 10 when we caught that catfish off of the dock and we ran it back all the way to the campers we said we would make a tent and sleep in it all night and we did not even make it 30 min before we got scared. and when you dared me to do a backflip off of the boat and I backfloped . when we fillet a fish and we said we where going to cook it but we never did . when you stayed at the cabin with us and and we shot fire works all day . when we both kayak to a dolphin and tried to touch it, and it never worked in Florida. these were some of the best memories that I will cherish forever you will always be the friendnthag was just like me we are all sad that you are gone love you buddy

How do I even begin to pick a memory? I will start with a very special one that only Gussie and I shared. It begins at a mess play day at The Endangered Wolf center. When I would talk about the wolves with Gus he would always say, "They bite" in a way that only Gussie could do his little mouth would show teeth when he said bite. That day at the center I had an opportunity to walk down to the habits, just Gussie

and I. As we came to the very special habit of Anna (those who know her know of her special spirit). As we stood in front of her habits she slowly made her way down to where we were standing, we talked about how special this moment was and how pretty she was. We talked about her and how she wasn't so scary and how she wasn't going to bite we also just took in her presenc. We Anna walked up the hill (you see the picture of Gussie squatting down at the fence). He whispered (but I could hear him say) I love you Anna. That will be forever a very special memory and moment.

I loved seeing your moms face light up, when she told the story of making these matching Halloween costumes. <3 Obviously you're the Looney Tunes!
